The Nexus Club participated in the Arkham Night 2017 Miskolc - Board Games Marathon on 2017.11.11 in the Gémeskút, in Miskolc. We have played today Zombicide from CoolMiniOrNot company, Star Saga from Mantic Games company, but the highlight of the evening was Cthulhu Wars.

The Nexus Club visited Games Day Budapest 2016 to do demonstrations of sci-fi wargames. In cooperation with The Forge Club, Scenery World Workshop commission terrain maker studio, and Nagy Péter (Petrow) from Keszthely, we brought demos of Alien vs Predator, Deadzone and DreadBall. There were dozens of other wargames and boardgames demos all around the area. The Golden Gobbo painting competition was also held here. Several gaming stores had a stand here with reduced prices, and there was a bits market for miniature collectors.

The Nexus Club took part in the International Tabletop Day 2017 gaming event on Miskolc, at 2017.04.30. On the convention, organised by the Gémeskút community, the visitors could try several board games all day long. From the CoolMiniOrNot there was Zombicide and Arcadia Quest, from Mantic Games the Deadzone, from Petersen Games the Cthulhu Wars, beside Adrenaline, Carcassone, Castles of Mad King Ludwig, Lost Cities, Escape, Goa, Kemet, Saltlands, and some others I did not recognise.

The Makettfesztivál Miskolc 2016 (Model Festival 2016) miniatures convention was held on 2016.01.30-31, in Miskolc. The Makettfesztivál Miskolc, built around the Győzelem Pajzsa (Shield of Victory) modeling competition, is an annual modeling hobby event, organised by the Miskolci Makettezők Egyesülete (Modelers Association of Miskolc). An event coverage was written by Kadmon.

The Nexus Club took part in the Makettfesztivál on both days, working closely with The Forge wargaming club. Sarkadi Sándor came from Debrecen to do a demonstration of the Kings of War, a fantasy tactical game from Mantic Games. For this event, wargaming boards were made by Kelemen Gábor and by the Scenery World Workshop.

The Makettfesztivál Miskolc 2018 (Model Festival 2018) miniatures convention was held on 2018.02.03-04, in Miskolc. The Makettfesztivál Miskolc, built around the Győzelem Pajzsa (Shield of Victory) modeling competition, is an annual modeling hobby event, organised by the Miskolci Makettezők Egyesülete (Modelers Association of Miskolc). An event coverage was written by Kadmon.

On this Makettfesztivál the Nexus Club also participated on both days, working closely with The Forge wargaming club. The Győzelem Pajzsa (Shield of Victory) modeling competition was also held here, the programs of the Makettfesztivál are basically built around this. For this occasion Kelemen Gábor made a wargaming board for Games Workshop's Lord of the Rings.

The Nexus Club participated on the Model Railway Exhibition in Miskolc on 2017.11.10-12. The event was organized by the Miskolci Vasútmodellezők Egyesülete (Railway Model Association of Miskolc) and the Vörösmarty Művelődési Ház (Vörösmarty Cultural Center). At the organizers' request, I brought some boardgames to engage the kids - Rum & Bones from CoolMiniOrNot company, and Star Saga from Mantic Games company.

Playing Deadzone Ed2 on Games Day Budapest 2016 - Imperial Space Gameplay narrative

On the Games Day Budapest 2016 I was invited by Nagy Péter (Petrow) to play a game of Deadzone Ed2 with him. Even though we have played a Deadzone game, to continue the story that started in the previous Afterlife gameplay narrative, I will include elements of the Forlorn Stars (Imperial Space) setting. I try to recount the events that occured on that day.

There was a club gathering at The Forge Club on 2016.12.28, where I organised a Deadzone Ed2 demo. After a quick warm-up game, there was an interesting battle between Fedák Zsombor and his friend, two youngsters who never played Deadzone before, but they were eager to try it. This is a retelling of the events that happened. To fit with the previous gameplay narratives, I set the story in the universe of the Forlorn Stars (Imperial Space) setting.

Deadzone Ed2

I had a chance to attend the Makettfesztivál Miskolc 2017 on 2017.02.18-19, where I organised a couple of Deadzone Ed2 demos. There were lots of kids eager to play games. I tried to set up my Battlezones. Necromunda and Infinity scenery I prepared for the event, but as the kids were harrassing me to start playing, I gave up, and just used my trusty Nexus Studio container buildings. This is a retelling of the games played on the convention, at least what I remember from them. To fit with the previous gameplay narratives, I'll probably set the story in the universe of the Imperial Space setting at a later date.
