The ASIA STANDARD game mat is a single sided flexible grass mat.
I assume that the mat stays flat.
You can store it flat, folded, or rolled up.
It doesn't get creased. According to a reviewer, he stuffed it into his backpack, and it didn't cause any kind of creasing.
If you comb it in a different direction, you get a slightly different hue.
According to the production company, it's resistant to water, but it's prone to damage if you pour hydrochloric acid on it.
Size of the grass
The grass mat can be used to depict grasses of variable scale. Here are the sizes of those grasses for these modeling scales.
1:100 scale (15mm) : 1,5 meter
1:72 scale (20mm) : 1 meter
1:56 (28mm / 32mm) scale : 0,8 meter
1:40 scale : 0,6 meter
1:24 scale (75mm) : 0,4 meter
Possible uses
According to the production company, you can put multiples of the mat together for a continuous gaming area.
I think you can comb pathways into the fibre. You may comb down the fibre to create areas of dead grass.
Possible improvements
You may trim some parts, or even cut the fibre fully to make it look more uneven.
You may add some additional flowers by adding blobs of acrilic paint on the fibre.
