Review - Mega-Gargant (AoS) kit for Warhammer: Age of Sigmar from Games Workshop

This is not an easy-to-build, push-fit kit, so the Mega-Gargant will require some work to build. It will also require some planning if you'd like to get the most out of the set.

The Mega-Gargant kit offers so many accessories, it would be a waste not to utilise them. For that effect, I recommend you to magnetise the Mega-Gargant kit.

According to reviews, the model is well-balanced to stand on its own, without basing.

Hands: The hands of the Mega-Gargant are separate pieces. You can easily put the clubs or the human victim into the hands, but it also opens up a lot of other possibilities for conversions.

Feet: The bottom of the feet is empty, as it is intended to be glued to a base. If you'd like to show the feet of the Mega-Gargant, you'll need to sculpt it for yourself. In case you choose the sandaled feet, doing that will be easier, as you'll only need to create the soles of the sandals.

Wrecking ball: According to reviews, the chain that holds the column head is fragile. If you intend to use it, maybe some additional wiring around the chain might help.

Customising your model

Clubs: The heads of the clubs fit on either handle, so you can use them as right handed or left handed clubs.

Heads: The Warstomper head fits on the Kraken-Eater neck with a little filler. I assume it is true for the Kraken-Eater head and the Warstomper neck.

Magnetising the Mega-Gargant model

By magnetising it, you can get the most out of the Mega-Gargant kit, so you can use a single kit for all three variants of the Mega-Gargant. For that, you'll need to have every available artefact on the model, to get a WYSISWYG miniature.

You can glue the body, head and arms together. If you wish to add more character to the giant, you can build and magnetise all three heads, but there's no real requirement for the specific heads of either of the variants, so I'd think you could use any of the heads for all three. By the looks of the sprue, you'll be probably able to add the face of the Kraken-eater instead of either of the other two faces if you choose that for your giant, and leave the cowl as a separate addition that you can just put on top of your Mega-Gargant model.

For the feet, choose the sandaled feet, to be able to use the Kraken-eater's sandals. For the accessories, I recommend you to add the Kraken-eater's kit - tentacles, jars, nets -, so you can use them as artefacts if you wish. With some work (and epoxy putty), all hands will fit on either arms, but to maximise the efficiency, I recommend that you use the left hand with the plate armour, to be used as the Warstomper's artefact (or you can use magnets that make the extra armour removable).

Mega-Gargant size - How big is the Mega-Gargant?

The Mega-Gargant is 19 cm high (almost 8 inches). If it were standing upright, it would be circa 25 cm tall.
