Number of players: 2-5
Activation: One player after the other, in order.
Style: Antagonistic. Every player is the enemy of every other player.
Interaction: There is some interaction between players. You can draw cards from others. You can neutralise the effects of others.
Drawing pile: If it runs out, it doesn't get reshuffled.
Playing time: Until the drawing deck doesn't run out.
Player ability:
* Dexterity: You only have a few seconds to play an effect neutralising card. If you miss that window, your card doesn't affect the effect.
Active cards:
- hand: they hold the cards in their hand.
- secret: they hide the cards from others
Winner: The player that didn't get executed.

Rules - Exploding Kittens base set
Activating goes around, except for action neutralising interruptions.
Players hold cards in their hands that they hide from others. The cards have different effects. Every player gets one defense card in the beginning, and other, random cards.
When the player activates, he can play any cards, then he has to draw a card.
If the card is a execution card, unless the the player has a defense card, he is out, and the execution card gets into the discard pile.
If the player has a defence card, he survives, and can put the execution card back into the drawing pile.
The play goes on until only one player remains.

The rules are very simple, the mechanics are easy to follow.
The art is cute, sometimes a little disgusting.
My only problem with Exploding Kittens is that the theme, the artwork and the text on the cards doesn't get involved in the game itself, it's just background flavour, and distracting at that.
If the point was to create a simple card game, an abstract approach would have been more useful.
If they wanted to create a game that involves vomiting into people's mouthes, zombie cats that eat their own eyes, pussies that fart out kittens, they should have incorporated that into the game somehow.
I feel that the theme in this case is somewhat pointless.

Exploding Kittens - Opinion by Kadmon
Exploding Kittens is a traditional card game, and I have to admit, I feel most traditional card games too limiting to enjoy. Exploding Kittens was no exception. There was nothing exciting about the mechanics, playing it was round after round of boring card drawing, until one gets out of the game.
There's a little interaction between players, but not enough to force them to establish communication. You can play the whole game without saying a word to the others.
