This is my review of 28 Years Later 2: The Bone Temple, a post-apocalyptic adventure movie for the 28 Days Later series from 2026. It's about survivors of a deadly epidemic. The 28 Years Later 2: The Bone Temple film is disappointing, I only recommend it to hardcore fans of the series.

Review (spoiler-free) - 28 Years Later 2: The Bone Temple, movie (2026)
I have seen the previous movies, and I knew this movie is coming. I was curious how would the creators finish the story they have started in 28 Years Later (2025), and turned out that they didn't have any good ideas either.
My experience
I was not satisfied with 28 Years Later 2: The Bone Temple (2026). I prefer stories with well-thought, logical plots, and the The Bone Temple couldn't deliver that.
Rating: Weak (2- out of 3 points). 28 Years Later 2: The Bone Temple looks good, but it's empty.
Enjoyment: Bad (1 out of 3 points). 28 Years Later 2: The Bone Temple is disappointing.
Rewatchability: I'm not sure. I think it's mostly the surprise of the story that makes you feel interested.
Chance of watching it again: No.
Chance of watching a sequel: Moderate. I'd probably watch it, if it comes out, but I'm not enthusiastic about that.

How does it compare to the other works of the creators?
I have seen plenty of works of the writer (Alex Garland). The The Beach (2000), 28 Days Later (2002), Sunshine (2007), Dredd (2012), and 28 Years Later (2025) were good. His adaptation of Never Let Me Go (2010) was great. Ex Machina (2014) was weak. This movie is probably his weakest work.
The only other movie I have seen from the director (Nia DaCosta) was The Marvels (2023), which was weak. I was hoping that this was due to studio tampering, but after watching this movie, I'm not that sure.
