What We Need & What You Get

A large part of the received funds will go towards IndieGoGo, bank transfer and taxes, then the cost of casting moulds, resin and the shipping costs of the miniatures.

In case our campaign will be successful, I promise that my 75mm line of Ragnarok vikings will continue, and we might come up with other miniatures or scenery that you'd like to see.

I'll also write a blog about my travel experiences in Norway, so you can follow our trip with us.

Pledge levels

You can support us with any amount of money, but if you are backing our project you can also choose a gift based on your pledge level.

You can receive a postcard from Norway. There are also miniatures - a bust, and a miniature figure. You can get an unpainted version of the bust, the figure, or both.

However, as you might feel frightened that you could not paint your Ragnarok Viking to meet the demands of the Asgardian gods, you have the choice of painted miniatures also. I managed to contact Beerzerks Painting, the most Scandinavian miniature painter in Hungary, so you can get your Ragnarok Warrior painted by him. However, if you can afford it, the work of Mary Profitt pleases the gods themselves.

You don't have to worry about us meeting the funding goals - you will still receive the miniature if you have backed the project, even if the 500 USD milestone is not met.

The shipping is included in every level, counting on a regular shipping fee, so most of you don't have to worry about added costs. If you live on an oil drill platform, the International Space Station or some similar hard to get place, there might still be some added shipping fee. In this case we will contact you to reach a solution that is acceptable to both of us.

Risks & Challenges

Casting the miniatures: I've spent my past decades casting miniatures, so I'm pretty certain of my work. I don't expect to run into problems during fulfilling the needs of the backers, but here are the risks I can imagine:

• Health issues & Skills: In case I'd suffer some injury, or run into an unprededented problem, I have friends in the craft that can help or take over the work.
• Suppliers: At the moment there's no shortage of silicone or resin to create the moulds and miniatures. The price of the supplies didn't change significantly in the past years.
• Shipping: The miniature will fit into a small box. I've sent several similar sized boxes all over the world. I'm confident in my packaging abilities, and I'm an expert at waiting in post office lines.
• Ragnarok comes: I hope Odin will consider creating miniatures for his army as a sacrifice for him, and let me fight on his side instead of casting me to Hel.

Taking the research trip: There is more risks about the travel - I can't be sure all ten of us will be able to go on this trip together, but we'll try our best.

• Health issues: From the moment of succeeding with this campaign, I'll feed my family healthy food and vitamin C, so they will be able to join the trip.
• Vehicle: The old car is somewhat battered, so there's a risk of it breaking down during the trip. My father and I are experienced mechanics, but we are not magicians, so it can happen that we have to delay or quit the tour.
• Ragnarok comes: We'll be at the right place to join forces with the Aesir! When the world comes down around us, continuing the trip won't be necessary to gather experience about Norse mythology.
